Jan Visits Hakuba - Beautiful Mountains & More


During October 6-8, Yuka and I visited the Northern Alps.	We took a train from Tokyo to the city of Matsumoto, from where we rented a car and drove to the small town of Hakuba.

Hakuba is located in in Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture, and is home to a number of ski resorts and some sightseeing opportunities.	Some Olympic games were arranged in Hakuba, which is probably why Virgin decided to open a cafe there.

From Hakuba, you can take lifts all the way to Kurobishi-daira, which is located approximately 1,700 meters above the ocean.	The Northern Alps in early October.
